I am a photographer, photo editor, writer and communications specialist based in London. After completing a BA in Audiovisual Communication, which included several modules in Photography, I have done extensive work in communication and photography.
Communication has been my passion since I was a child. When I was just four years old, I started to shadow my dad -who was working as a journalist at the time- with his notebook and camera as much as I could and wherever he went. Nowadays he keeps his best works in a folio. If you now inspect it, you can appreciate its worn edges, caused not only by the years that have passed but more because of all the times I have, and still do, looked through its pages!
As a creative person, I love any process that involves creative and imagination. This desire also springs from my childhood and from the other biggest influence in my life and most creative person that I know: my mum.
Photography is not only the taking of pictures. Photography is about building a bond, creating a connection and capturing the personality of the person on the other side of the lens. The incredibly talented and globally recognised photographer Anne Geddes thinks that “emotional content is an image’s most important element, regardless of the photographic technique” and she adds that “much of the work I see these days lacks the emotional impact to draw a reaction from viewers, or remain in their hearts.” I couldn’t agree more. I want the families I have worked with to look at my images in 20 years time and still be able to connect with them, feel them and maybe see that facial expression or brightness in the eyes that was unique to their child. I want them to do it while they look at their pictures hanging in the walls or over the coffee table in a beautiful album day after day. I do not want my work, your pictures, to be lost somewhere in a cloud or in a USB. I truly believe that your images are the story of your family and show the uniqueness of your family. They are memories. Your memories. And memories should be treasured and cherished for decades.
So this is a small insight into who I am! If you want to know more about me, work with me or share your passion with me, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
